I can’t recommend Tunbridge Wells Dental Centre and Mike Field highly enough. Especially for anyone who has previously had a bad experience. I'd not been to the dentist for some years, following several painful experiences, leaving my teeth in a worse state than when I first went. So it was only when part of a tooth broke, that I was forced into finding a new dentist, which was quite daunting.However, from the moment I got in touch, I was offered an initial 'meet the dentist' visit to talk through my experiences and fears, which immediately put me at ease. Mike explained everything clearly, and after a new patient appointment, was advised I needed a crown fitted, to save the damaged tooth. Still very nervous of any treatment, Mike was gentle and took his time to put me at ease, worked efficiently and made what could have been a stressful visit feel straightforward.The practice itself is fantastic, with a spacious waiting area that feels calm and welcoming as soon as you walk in. The staff were brilliant too – friendly, approachable and professional, which added to the overall relaxed atmosphere.Everything about the experience felt smooth and well organised, from booking to being treated. It’s rare to find a dental practice that combines such high-quality care with such a friendly and comfortable environment, but Tunbridge Wells Dental Centre really does. Definitely the best dental experience I’ve had and one I’d recommend to anyone looking for a dentist in the area.

Dr Field was excellent – friendly, fast and gentle, which immediately put me at ease. He explained everything clearly, worked efficiently and made what could have been a stressful visit feel straightforward.The practice itself is fantastic. It’s set in an amazing building with a really spacious waiting area that feels calm and welcoming as soon as you walk in. The staff were brilliant too – friendly, approachable and professional, which added to the overall relaxed atmosphere.Everything about the experience felt smooth and well organised, from booking to being treated. It’s rare to find a dental practice that combines such high-quality care with such a friendly and comfortable environment, but Tunbridge Wells Dental Centre really does. I can highly recommend TWDC. They are especially good when it comes to those who have not had the best experiences previously or those who are somewhat fearful of dentist. Dr Mike Field is an absolute natural at putting the patient at ease, and is also very clear and precise on what he's going to do.The rest of the staff are extremely helpful and also add to the calm feeling of the whole thing.Can't recommend highly enough.

What incredible service and friendliness! I walked in to see if they could sell me some tooth cement as my husband’s veneer had broken off and it was his front tooth. We were flying back home to Mallorca in an hour so I literally just wanted him to get a temporary fix so he wouldn’t be embarrassed till he could see a dentist. They went above and beyond and said they would fix it for him immediately . My husband was overwhelmed with gratitude at the kindness shown to him by Dr. Mike Field. We are planning on getting a little property in the area and for sure this will be our local dentist when we do! Having recently moved here from the sad closure of the Hill House practice, I am very impressed. Every single person I have met so far have been so friendly and helpful and really made the transition to a new dentist so calm and easy. A really super practice, run efficiently with thorough examinations and explanations in each appointment I have attended for myself and my daughter. 10/10. Highly recommend.

I was in pain with my gums this evening at 8pm on a Saturday night and Mike rang me out of hours just to give me some free advice based on a Facebook post asking if anyone knew of an emergency dentist. He was promp and gave me some helpful advice. He even offered to open up his practice on a Sunday (when his usually closed) just to help me out. That's what I call a genuine human who wants to help someone out. Thanks again Mike !

I needed an emergency appointment as an overseas visitor. Not only were the team able to fit me in to see Dr Field but went out of their way to assist with booking the appointment. The friendliness over the phone was surpassed only by the warmth and gold standard care during the appointment. If I were a local I would immediately choose Tunbridge Wells Dental Centre. Mike and the team are extremely thorough and professional. He explained everything he did very carefully to both myself and my 3 children. He has a great rapport with the children (aged 12, 10 and 7) and helped them all to feel at ease. He also reduced the quoted price of treatment by £100 because the three appointments took less time than he had planned; he rightly explained that he always likes to allow more time than needed in case of any problems or anxiety. An excellent service all round, I would thoroughly recommend.

The best dental practice I've ever been to (and I've been to many). Melissa and Mike run such an amazing surgery and make people like me (who really dislike going to the dentist) at ease immediately. From the receptionist to the reception area, everything is immaculate and well thought out.Today was a classic example whereby I was in pain and the surgery was closed due to internal and external refurbishments. Having heard that I was in pain, Melissa and Mike offered to open the surgery to see me (and one other patient). This for me goes so far and beyond the call of duty.Thank you so much!

I've been incredibly impressed by every aspect of my care at TWells Dental Centre. From the friendliness of reception staff to the exceptional service of my dentist, Melissa. I have always been given full explanations every step of the way and asked if I am comfortable. I've meticulously looked after my teeth and always attended the dentist so when I moved to TWells a year ago I researched where I thought would provide the best care and I'm so pleased with my choice. Through the expertise of Melissa, she located an unusual area of my tooth that needed attention and ended up needing a filling. I couldn't believe how easy, and even comfortable, the experience was. I was given glasses with little speakers and asked what music I wished to listen to which was a distraction from any noises occurring but I could have easily done without as she was so careful and calm nothing about the treatment was a problem. I can't recommend TWells Dental Centre enough. Free parking on their driveway, an offer of coffee when you arrive and exceptional service....what more could you be looking for!? Thank you!

I visited the Tumbridge Wells Dental Centre for a hygienist appointment. While waiting, you are made to feel welcome and are offered a tea or coffee. There is a lot of material in the waiting room. Dr Field brought me to the surgery and was very professional. The room is spacious and has an amazing world map on the ceiling which is really impressive. Also the protective glasses have an inbuilt speaker which cancels the noise of the scaler! It was a great experience and my teeth looked whiter and felt cleaner. I would recommend!

I had a fire & ice facial with Anna on Monday and absolutely loved it! I was welcoming into the practice by the a lovely receptionist ( sorry can’t remember her name( and was taken into the waiting room. Anna explained everything she was putting on me and reassured me that a little bit of tingling is normal. My skin feels absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to book in for the next one. If I could give them 20 stars I would. I had my first appointment today with Dr Atkinson. She did x-rays and photos and found out within minutes the cause of my toothache and the other problems. Had the tooth out the same day. Very calm place, genuinely caring people and not scary at all.Thank you, Charlotte

I visited the practice for the Fire & Ice facial with Anna and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.Anna’s explanation of the products and steps was super informative and comforting. I left the practice with my skin feeling incredible and I was able to go about the rest of the day without looking inflamed. I will definitely be returning! The reception & waiting room is also really welcoming and relaxing!

All the staff are very caring and compassionate. Mike is such a cool dentist, he creates a very chill atmosphere and has great vibes. I had a filling and hygienist appointment and to be honest I had such a good experience I would go back and have it all again.The only downside is both times I’ve been the appointment has been late and I’ve had to wait longer than expected. The price is a bit much but for the service they provide I think it’s worth it if you can afford it.

Due to severe dentophobia, I had not been to the dentist in many years. After finally deciding it was about time for me to get rid of this phobia, I started researching dentists in the area and found out that the dental centre offers extra care for nervous patients. I booked a new patient consultation with Dr. Atkinson and was amazed at her ability to calm me down and talk me through everything. Six appointments later, I now feel much more confident going to the dentist. I am so impressed by the care I have received over the past few months. The ladies at the reception desk are wonderful too. Cannot recommend the dental centre enough. 10/10.

After having a bad experience with another dentist approximately seven years ago and losing confidence to return, I decided I needed to make the decision to start again. I found Tunbridge Wells Dental Centre and wanted to say how impressed I am by the high level of care and professionalism shown to me by all the staff. Melissa and Anna have looked after me so well and have given me the confidence to overcome my fears. It was my first time back to the dentist for a while and they made me feel very comfortable and at ease, which was important for me as i was a tad anxious about it. Lynda at the front desk was fantastic when booking it in for me and they managed to squeeze me in for that day. I have had the pleasure of seeing both Dr. Field and Dr. Atkinson, what a wonderful practice and lovely staff! From the receptionist to the nurses, everybody is so welcoming and friendly.I have now finished my Smile-lign course and I am super pleased with the results, Dr.Atkinson has been brilliant throughout the whole process, very patient, calm and informative.The dental nurse Anna is also a great asset to the practice and Dr Field’s Bose glasses are amazing! Had the Fire & Ice facial by Anna a few weeks before my wedding and wow it was amazing. It's non-invasive so great to have just before the big day and made my skin glow for weeks. The actual facial was so relaxing and the difference between the 'fire' and 'ice felt so good, especially the cryo tools that were so cooling.Can't wait for my next one before my honeymoon, feel so confident in my skin! I had the Fire & Ice facial with Anna… Wow. Honestly one of the best facials I’ve had in a while. Anna went into detail of the products at each stage of the facial so I knew exactly what to expect with how the products felt on my skin. The treatment was so relaxing and unlike any facial I have ever experienced. I have recommended it to everyone since having it, due to the experience and the results! I’ve had so many compliments on my skin since the treatment too. Will definitely be a returning customer :)

This is the best dental practice I've ever been to. My husband sees Dr Field and I go to Dr Atkinson. We are extremely impressed and happy with the care we have received from them both this past year after multiple treatments for various issues. The entire staff are extremely professional, kind and caring. Janine, the practice manager, is always friendly and efficient. I would not go anywhere else and can highly recommend them.

I had my upper right wisdom tooth taken out a couple of days ago, I somehow got a same day appointment. It took less than 5 minutes and left no pain. Even as I write this two days later, I’ve had no pain at all. Everything was explained clearly and concisely and I even received a courtesy call a day afterwards to ensure everything was okay and to let them know if I had any problems. Something I’ve never experienced from a dental practice before. Thank you very much.

Mel and her support team provided fabulous care when I attended this week with my broken tooth. What was technically a quite tricky repair was superbly managed, and the entire experience was welcoming, gentle and relaxed. (I also liked the Bose glasses/headset, by the way). In summary - great professional expertise provided by genuinely caring people in a calming environment.

My dentist of over 30 years retired 18 months ago. Unfortunately, his replacement at that practice was nothing like as skilled as he was, made a mess of my teeth within two appointments and then was not able to fix the problems created. I moved to Dr Mike Field on recommendation and am delighted with my choice. The first time I met Mike I was in pain. It was immediately clear that he had a very different style, focussed on very high-quality dental care and taking the time needed to do so. Over the following weeks he demonstrated that he could do just that and the problems were swiftly corrected. Everything dental has now been stable for 12 months. The same high standards of care are offered by the whole team: dental nurses Anna and Petra, practice manager Jan and receptionist Linda. All highly recommended.

To start ALL the team are so very friendly, welcoming & provide such a good professional service!The dentist was very thorough with explaining everything throughout my dental plan & very reassuring & caring. Took his time to make sure i understood everything and what they planned to do with my teeth.But my main thing that i was so very impressed and made to feel comfortable with was the use of anaesthetic.I had a terrible experience at a previous clinic that i went to so i was quite nervous for the anaesthetic process and how i would feel after.But he made me feel so comfortable and at ease with application of this. The injection was done very slowly , not rushed & he also used numbing cream prior so i didn't feel anything.Very happy with this because it meant it wasn't a nerve wracking experience for me.I was also given a fun gadget to wear- Some snazzy glasses that played your choice of music. This kept me distracted throughout the filling process.I thought that was quite a cool idea!All in all a super duper experience and i highly recommend them for all your dental concerns.

I found myself needing to see a dentist and was seen by Dr Melissa Atkinson. She was so kind, gentle and patient and put me completely at ease. The whole practice is so welcoming and puts you at ease. I never thought I would say it but they have convinced me to go on a regular basis!

This was my first visit to the practice. The team was very accomodating, and found a way to see me at short notice. I've never received such a high level of analysis and attention to detail. I can't believe all dentists don't do this... they talked me through various options, showing me everything on screen; it seemed to me that the equipment was top class. Overall, a very impressive outfit.

I have just finished a lengthy course of treatment with Dr Michael Field at Tunbridge Wells Dental Centre. My whole experience from start to finish was entirely positive and the quality of the work done is of a very high standard. COVID precautions were taken very seriously, which as a vulnerable patient this matters a great deal. I was met at the door by really lovely Dental Nurse Anna, I waited no more than a few minutes at any appointment and was then greeted by Mike Field with the warmest of smiles - to match Anna’s and Jan the Practice Manager at the desk.I have a disability which affects my comfort greatly and I could not have been treated with better care to support this as much as possible.Many of us know that the standard of a completed crown depends, in part, on the standard of workmanship of the lab used. The crown Mike had made for me was of excellent standard and therefore fits extremely well.I could sing praises further but I will close with a sincere thanks to all in the practice for the great care you took of me and my oral health. I look forward to seeing you all again!

I can’t recommend this practice highly enough. Myself and my family have been looked after by The Tunbridge Wells Dental Centre team for many years now and we would never go anyway else. With their professionalism, accommodating and kind manner you know you are getting the best service. The Dentists and the nursing team are excellent with children; explaining procedures in a kind way. The reception team are very accommodating with appointments and always try to fit appointment times to suit the patient. The practice is modern and has very up to date equipment. If you’re looking for excellent dental care for you and your family, Tunbridge Wells Dental Centre is the best!

I was in need of a post-lockdown dental MOT so thought I’d try here which I’d heard was under new partnership. The experience was a good one from start to finish including friendly reception staff, clear and easy to book appointment time, and professional service throughout. My dentist assigned was Melissa who took her time with a thorough examination and full explanation of the state of my teeth. She made sensible recommendations for the long-term management of my needs. I also had a very comprehensive hygiene session leaving me feeling brand new. The most pleasant visit I’ve experienced in going to the dreaded dentist! Highly recommended.

I have nothing but positive comments about the Tunbridge Wells Dental Centre. I came here as a new patient a couple of weeks ago and I was really nervous as it was my first dentist appointment since lockdown. Firstly, the practice is immaculate and everything felt really clean and safe. I was also a little bit embarrassed because I have a slight tea addiction and my teeth were looking quite stained. I needn't have worried, I was instantly put at ease and I had the best scale and polish I have ever had - I walked out and I literally couldn't stop smiling! I was given a really thorough run through of what I can do to maintain my dental health and it was done in such a kind and supportive way. I would absolutely recommend this dental practice.

Based on the 5 star reviews this practice has received I opted to sign up as a new customer with them and I'm glad I did! The whole experience felt personable to me from check in to being sat in the dental chair. I was treated by Dr Mike Field who eased my anxieties straight away by his friendly character. He talked me through his observations using photographs from inside my mouth and he gave me detailed hints and tips on how I could better my oral hygiene which was very helpful. The practice itself is of a very high standard and parking is easy out the front.

Before starting a course of Orthodontic treatment I had to have some remedial work carried out. I contacted TWDC several months ago, mainly because of the positive reviews, and I'm so glad that I did. Mike and his team have provided a first class service to me throughout my treatment and I can't recommend them highly enough.

I booked an appointment as a new patient with Dr Mike Field and could not have been happier with the brilliant service received. Everything from the warm welcome from lovely front of house manager Jan, to the kind and attentive nature of dental assistant Anna to Dr Field's calm and professional expertise, everything at TWDC is centred around the patient. There is nothing too much trouble and I felt they really cared about me and my teeth! Extremely thorough, great tips and advice and I never had that usual rushed feeling of being just another patient to get in and out. Highly recommended. Worth every penny.

I had been looking for a dentist for a while now, and based on a recommendation I luckily went to see Dr Mike Field. I am over the moon with every aspect of the care he has provided. He even spent the time to tell me how to properly clean my teeth, something I have never had before. Excellent bedside manner and at the same time super skilled at what he does. I can’t recommend him enough and will be doing so! Thanks also to his lovey dental nurses Petra and Anna both so friendly and professional.

I have never liked going to the dentist as I dislike pain in my mouth, after reading online reviews I contacted Tunbridge Wells Dental Centre as I felt it was the right place for me. I am glad that I did, not only are they caring and attentive but the dentist is also really good at giving pain free treatment. I now have my confidence back in dentists and most importantly in my smile. Thank you to everyone at TWDC for being so amazing.

Mike Field is one of the best dentists available and all the staff there were lovely and welcoming. I've had many tooth problems over the years and no dentist has gone out of their way to make me feel comfortable and satisfied with the work the way Mike has and I would recommend him to everyone. A completely different dental experience. It’s not the cheapest dental practice, but the difference from what I have had at previously dental visits was well worth it. Dr Field spent almost an hour assessing my dental health and giving me in depth advice about what treatment was required and how to prevent problems. The whole experience from start to finish was excellent and I would recommend it to anyone!
